Black walls, yay or nay?

One color trend I've seen more and more of lately is black, or almost black, walls.  I used to think that having black walls in a home would seem so dark and dismal, but now I kind of love it! If done right, it can be really chic and classic. I especially love black walls with gold accents throughout the room.

Seeing Spots

Polka dots have made a comeback in a huge way, and I love it. They never really left in my book. No longer are polka just for little kids rooms, but they are now everywhere from walls, to sofas, to fashion, and they can be very chic. How about you, are you jumping on the polka dot train?

Floral Wallpaper

Gone are the days of floral wall paper being reserved strictly for 1970 and grannies. It is now seen quite often and is totally chic! I can honestly say that I am 100% digging it!Ok well maybe not 100%, probably more like 75, it can definitely be overdone.

I'm in love

I have really been lusting after acrylic coffee tables lately. I know they are nothing new, but I still love them and think I always will. I saw one on Live with Kelly the other day as she was showing her new dressing room, which is fabulous, and it just reaffirmed my love for them. I'm trying to figure out how I can get my hands on one for my ling room. I just think they can look great in any space and go almost any style. Any they are great for small spaces since they don't have much visual weight.

Luggage art

I love when old things are re-purposed and used as something completely different. Lately I've been seeing a lot of suitcases being used as ,well, not suitcases. Weather it's for furniture, accessories, or storage, I think it's a fun use of an old suitcase.

Neon- so hot right now

So a hot summer fashion trend is pops of neon, and I think I love it! It is such a great way to brighten up any outfit. I was so close to buying a neon yellow striped sweater last week. It was on clearance, and I love a good bargain, but then I realized that they didn't have my size. Bummer, I seriously hate when that happens! Blast you avarage sized not to skinny not too big frame!

The trend is also popping up in interiors. I think it's fun, but I'm not sure it's for me. I sure can appreciate it in someone elses home though!
