Emerald Green with Envy

Pantone announced that the color of the year for 2013 is Emerald Green. I have to say, in my humble opinion, I totally agree. I have seen pops of emerald green popping up more and more lately and I love it! It is such a rich and fabulous color. I like it best as an accent color, but it is also so pretty as the focal point of a space. Take a look at some of these green beauties!

Black walls, yay or nay?

One color trend I've seen more and more of lately is black, or almost black, walls.  I used to think that having black walls in a home would seem so dark and dismal, but now I kind of love it! If done right, it can be really chic and classic. I especially love black walls with gold accents throughout the room.

Neon- so hot right now

So a hot summer fashion trend is pops of neon, and I think I love it! It is such a great way to brighten up any outfit. I was so close to buying a neon yellow striped sweater last week. It was on clearance, and I love a good bargain, but then I realized that they didn't have my size. Bummer, I seriously hate when that happens! Blast you avarage sized not to skinny not too big frame!

The trend is also popping up in interiors. I think it's fun, but I'm not sure it's for me. I sure can appreciate it in someone elses home though!

Specs of Gold

I have to admit, I haven't always been a gold person, I was a silver kind of girl. I thought gold was only for the big rappers and their girlfriends, and I don't fit into either of those categories. But recently I have come to really appreciate gold accents in a space. In my opinion gold can go with everything, it's like another neutral. It adds some much needed glam and excitement. Are you digging the gold accents right now like I am?

Color lovin- Coral

I know you all have a color that really tickles your fancy. Well, mine is coral. There's just somthing about it, not quite pink, but not quite orange. It's the perfect combo of both, and who doesn't like a great combo! It seems like it is popping up everywhere lately and I couldn't be happier about that.
