One color trend I've seen more and more of lately is black, or almost black, walls. I used to think that having black walls in a home would seem so dark and dismal, but now I kind of love it! If done right, it can be really chic and classic. I especially love black walls with gold accents throughout the room.

I love this look! It looks so moody and sophisticated. You definitely have to have the right balance of light pieces to make it work though. Our kitchen walls are dark dark charcoal grey- almost black. It's a really small amount of wall space and it helps to make the honey oak cabinets look a little less horrible.
